A Customer Service representative will attempt call you regarding the emergency to assess the situation and provide assistance wherever practical.

In these instances, please call FCB Homes during regular office hours (Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm) at (209) 444-2812 and leave a message — we will get back to you either that day or on the next business day to schedule an appointment as soon as possible. An air conditioner not functioning in hot weather is not considered an emergency, so if your HVAC unit is not working, re-set your HVAC circuit breaker located in the electrical panel. If it is running but not cooling as well as you think it should, be sure your thermostat is set on “cool” or “auto” and not “fan”. If this does not resolve your concern, please call FCB Homes during regular office hours (Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm) at (209) 444-2812 and leave a message – we will get back to you either that day or on the next business day to schedule an appointment as soon as possible.
Dripping plumbing fixtures and pipes are also not emergencies. Do not use a fixture that is leaking until it is repaired. Be sure to turn off the valves to the fixture that is dripping to prevent water damage and be sure to clean up any excess water from the affected area. Please call FCB Homes during regular office hours (Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm) at (209) 444-2812 and leave a message — we will get back to you either that day or on the next business day to schedule an appointment as soon as possible.
If you have one clogged toilet due to blockage this is not considered an emergency. We recommend turning the water off at the back of that toilet and use a plunger to dislodge the blockage. If this does not work, use another toilet in your home. We suggest you contact a local plumber to handle any blockage if you feel it is an emergency.
Electrical failure to an outlet or appliance is also not an emergency. If a plug is not working, check the circuit breaker at electrical panel to be sure nothing needs to be reset. If your loss of power is in the kitchen, baths, garage or on the exterior of your home, check your small GFI resets (in each GFI plug location) to be sure they have not been “tripped”. If you would like us to inspect an outlet where you have a concern, please call FCB Homes during regular office hours (Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm) at (209) 444-2812 and leave a message — we will get back to you either that day or on the next business day to schedule an appointment as soon as possible.

Fibrocystic disease (FCD) is the most common pathology of the mammary glands, it occurs in almost 50% of the female population. The terms: mastopathy, fibrocystic disease, benign disease of the mammary glands, fibroadenomatosis, dishormonal dysplasia of the mammary glands are used to refer to benign diseases of the mammary glands.
What are the symptoms of FCD?
First of all, it is: pain in the mammary glands, swelling, various kinds of seals in the tissues of the mammary glands, discharge from the nipples. Most often, these symptoms are associated with the menstrual cycle and intensify in the premenstrual period.
FCD is not currently considered a pre-cancer or stage of breast cancer, but there is still some risk. Thus, FCD and breast cancer (BC) have common risk factors, in the development of FCD and BC, the main role is played by an excess of estrogen, in patients with breast cancer, a previous FCD was more often observed, some types of proliferative FCD increase the risk of breast cancer by 1. 5-5 times compared with the population .
What are the risk factors for FCD?
First of all, risk factors for FCD include reproductive factors, such as early menarche – before 12 years of age, low birth rate, low rate of first pregnancy ending in childbirth, abortion, lack or short period of breastfeeding, high radiographic density of mammograms in late reproductive period.
Unfavorable heredity is of great importance – cases of breast cancer in blood relatives, carriage of mutant BRSA-1 B BRSA-2 genes, primary multiple tumors in a family history, including breast cancer.
Hormonal and metabolic risk factors play their role – hyperestrogenism, hyperprolactinemia, progesterone deficiency, thyroid disease, menstrual irregularities, endometriosis, ovarian cysts and tumors, obesity, metabolic syndrome, diabetes mellitus, liver disease.
And, of course, the development of FCD is influenced by lifestyle – an excess of alcohol, fats, calories, a lack of vegetables, fruits, vitamins and minerals in food; depression, sleep disturbances, night work, reduced physical activity.
As mentioned above, the development of FCD is based on chronic hyperestrogenism. Where does it come from?
If earlier in the 19th century menarche in girls occurred at 17 years old, and menopause in women at 40 years old, then in our time, respectively, at 12-14 years old and 50-52 years old. If earlier women often gave birth and breast-fed for a long time, now they give birth to 1-2 children. Those. the period of reproductive age has increased by 2 times, and the number of menstrual cycles by 4 times. A modern woman experiences a much longer exposure to estrogens, which in turn cause proliferative processes in the tissues of the mammary glands.
Thus, FCD can be considered as a factor of trouble in breast tissue, which, in combination with risk factors and congenital or acquired gene damage, can lead to the development of breast cancer.
Therefore, timely diagnosis and treatment of FCD not only eliminates unpleasant symptoms, improving the quality of life, but also is the basis for the prevention of breast cancer.
Literature used in the article: “Tumours of the female reproductive system”, No. 4, 2015, volume 11. “FCD and breast cancer risk (literature review)”, V. G. Bespalov, M. L. Travina.
Do not wait until you get sick, visit a mammologist every year to detect pathologies in the early stages.
