Tourist Offices in Andalucia
Travellers will be pleased to hear that there are plenty of tourist offices in Andalucia. All the large towns and popular tourist destinations will have a tourist office supported by the Regional or Provincial government or the local Town Hall.
Street plans, list of hotels and pensions and information about local festivals, processions and special events are the most common enquiries. If you don’t see the information you are looking for on display, ask the attendant. To ask directions to the Tourist office in Spanish; practice “Dondé esta la oficina de turismo?”
Some of the smaller villages do not have a specific office in a prime location. There will probably be information available at the Town Hall (Ayuntamiento) or the Casa de la Cultura.

The Spanish Tourist Board considers forecasts of a return of tourism no earlier than Christmas to be unfounded.
Spain in Russian
Labor Minister Yolanda Diaz said the tourism industry will not resume operations until the end of the year. The Spanish Tourist Board considers such forecasts unfounded.
Yolanda Diaz said in an interview that the tourism sector will not reopen until the end of the year.
The statement of a high-ranking official angered the head of the Spanish Tourism Board (la Mesa del Turismo, MT) Juan Molas.
The head of the MoT said that the statements of the Minister of Labor contradict the positions of other members of the government, who prudently avoid specific dates for exiting the crisis caused by COVID-19.
The representative of MT was categorical. “Statements of this kind are ill-considered. If it happens that Spain is closed to tourism until the end of the year, this will lead to the ruin and bankruptcy of hundreds of thousands of travel companies and tourism-related businesses. As a result, at least 2.7 million people who are directly related to this sector will be affected,” emphasizes Council President Joan Molas.
The Tourism Board says that the return to normal life and the timing of the exit from quarantine will depend on effective sanitary control of the epidemic.
He categorically refuses to accept the date of Yolanda Diaz and sees a disagreement in the actions of the government regarding the timing of the release of quarantine. Health Minister Salvador Ilya does not speak at all about the exact dates for lifting the state of emergency.
“We are concerned about inconsistencies in the messages of various members and government officials, from whom we demand consistency, seriousness, unity and active dialogue with the tourism sector so that the resumption of the industry takes place in the best possible scenario,” says the head of the MoT.
The Tourist Board is already working on planning for a return to normal life in accordance with the new requirements of the Ministry of Health.
Tour operators and airlines will make booking hotels and flights easier and more efficient. As soon as restrictions on the movement of citizens are lifted, the changes will be applied in practice. We have not yet completely lost the summer season, which would lead to the loss of 100 billion euros and thousands of jobs.
“The season can be saved if domestic travel opportunities open up. Creating a medical passport for people who have already recovered or are not sick will help overcome the crisis.”
Molas expects the tourism model to change and adjust to the new post-coronavirus situation. To do this, companies are developing medical protocols that will ensure the safety of workers and travelers.
Minister Diaz’s statement has a negative impact on international markets, creating a negative effect and influencing potential guests who want to return to Spain as soon as possible.

many old streets, Gothic cathedrals, fragrant sangria and funny people around? From Moscow to Madrid is only 4161 kilometers, and by plane this distance is overcome in five hours.
Today you can buy a ticket to Spain, and tomorrow you will be swimming in the Atlantic Ocean. Learn a little more about the country on the website of the Tourist Board.
From May to September, the sea welcomes people from all over the world into its arms. The air temperature is compared with the water temperature, and together they reach +25-+30 degrees. Golden sand warms your fingers, and the sea breeze saves you from the heat.
Mild seaside winter promises about 10 degrees of heat to the guests of the country. In small Spanish villages, the temperature drops a little lower, but a leather jacket and a warm knitted scarf are enough for comfortable walks.
The Spanish winter is also characterized by heavy rains, which may interfere with several walks, but will make evenings in cozy cafes especially pleasant with a mug of mulled wine or a glass of Catalan wine.
April and October are traditionally the months of attractions: it is cool to swim in the sea, but the number of sunny days grows rapidly along with the air temperature. You can safely go to the Pyrenees or on a tour of the Gothic castles.
The Canary Islands deserve special attention: water and air allow you to walk there in a swimsuit all year round. Stable +20 – +25 degrees made the tourism season in the archipelago endless.
Madrid City
Spain’s most inspiring and diverse city is also the country’s capital. Here people work, live and rest for love.
The center’s medieval architecture is flanked by glittering skyscrapers. And in small old houses, and on the 50th floors of skyscrapers, the best shops and cafes of the world open their doors to the guests of the city.
Barcelona City
People go to Barcelona for passion. Nothing is done here just like that, the soul and extraordinary charisma of local residents are invested in everything. Picasso, Miro, Gaudi, Dali gave their love to Barcelona.
The sea comes close to the city, which, together with sand and palm trees, creates one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
Granada, city
Granada is the capital of controversy. Here Catholicism and Islam, bullfighting and supporters of the ban on bullfighting, hashish shops and religious meccas come into dispute.
What to do in Granada? Drink wine, cheer with bullfighter cries at a demonstration bullfight and dance, dance, dance. You will not see such a passionate flamenco anywhere else.
Costa Brava, district
The coast of the Costa Brava region, which stretches for 214 kilometers, attracts not only the sea, but also unique landscapes: here the spurs of the Pyrenees, decorated with green forest capes, cut into the water, and the waves of the Mediterranean Sea are breathtaking.
Canary Islands
Serenity and tranquility – this is the Canaries. It has a stable climate, many kilometers of white-sand family beaches, absolute cleanliness, as well as the infinity of the Atlantic Ocean, which washes the shores of the archipelago.
Mallorca, island
Chocolate tan and sculpted body can become the main symbols of the largest island of the Balearic archipelago. Huge clean beaches, light waves, green valleys and mountains in the center of Mallorca annually attract thousands of rock climbers, lovers of all types of surfing and diving.
Holidays in Mallorca are also appreciated by important people: here is the residence of the royal family of Spain, and Hollywood residents regularly meet on the beaches.
Aragonese Pyrenees, district
Evergreen mountains, topped with harsh rocky peaks, flow into one another, alternating with magical valleys. Here you can relax in small resort towns, and improve your health in boarding houses, and go in for mountaineering of any level of complexity.
In winter, the area becomes a mecca for skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts. The snow season here lasts from November to March.
Spain offers holidays for every taste: sightseeing tours, fun walks through cafes and friendly streets of cities, sea and mountains. You can’t come to this country just once, and here are a few reasons for that.
Beach holidays
Spain collects beaches: on hundreds of kilometers of coastline there are even plateaus with golden or white sand, palm trees and sun loungers. There are rocky spurs that go into the water: the waves shower splashes of joyful tourists there. There are wild rocky-sandy bays dominated by gulls.
Do you want to buy a tour to Spain to arrange a raid on the best beaches? First, decide which type of coast you like best:
Ibiza, Canaries, Barcelona – places for those who want to lie quietly on the sand, take a nap under a canopy, treat themselves to a cocktail in a beach bar, play volleyball. It is good to relax here with the family, because the children have something to do and nowhere to get lost.
Tenerife, the largest of the Canary archipelago, offers two beaches (Puerto Santiago and Los Gigantes) with amazing black sand formed by volcanic ash. For 20 years in a row, both beach towns have received international awards as the cleanest in the world. By the way, black sand is good for health – it strengthens joints, treats sciatica, osteochondrosis and similar diseases.
The rocky shores are Playa de las Catedrales, a region of Galicia. The rocks here form natural columns and arched passages on the shore, reminiscent of Gothic temples. Therefore, the second name of the beach is “cathedral”.
Ski and other sports tours
Hiking and rock climbing is the Pyrenees. In winter, they become a paradise for skiers and snowboarders. Most of the beaches on the Atlantic coast are equipped for all types of surfing. Diving is booming on the rocky parts of the coast. For outdoor activities in Spain – always the season.
We offer several types of tours to the ski resorts in Spain, as well as make any individual tours according to your desire. If you are planning a winter trip in the summer, get up to 50% discount for early booking!
City holidays
Unlike many tourist reserves, in Spain it is equally good both at sea and in the city. Even when the sun and the sea breeze call to the shore, cafes and cozy streets easily compete with them. It’s nice to just walk around Madrid, Barcelona, Granada: go to a random cafe for the aroma of churros – local delicious donuts, leave the store with packages of cute and beautiful things, walk along residential streets to look at the life of cheerful talkative Spaniards.
Give yourself to the city and it will surprise you with a lot of pleasant surprises.
New Year holidays
Mild winter with temperatures around 10-15 degrees Celsius made Spain an ideal place to celebrate the New Year. You can fly here inexpensively with the whole family and celebrate a holiday on the seashore with thousands of Spaniards.
The New Year is equally celebrated in all cities of the country, so take any tour to Spain at the end of December. Do not forget to eat only 12 grapes at midnight, each of which, according to an old tradition, must fulfill one of your 12 desires (yes, the Spaniards do not skimp on dreams).
National entertainment: bullfighting and Tomantina
Real bullfighting has been banned in Spain, but no less spectacular shows remain, where bulls and bullfighters have more voltage than high-voltage wires. The heart of bullfighting is the city of Seville, bulls are respected here as people. The show season runs from March to October.
Another national battlefield is Bunol, Valencia. Here, in the last days of August, the famous international festival of Tomantina takes place. Tens of thousands of people from all over the world pick up tomatoes and arrange furious tomato fights on the streets of the town. The vegetable festival has been held here for more than 70 years.
Sightseeing tours
If you decide to visit all the sights in Spain, it will take at least a year. And if you carefully examine each of them, then life is not enough.
Here is just a fraction of a percent of the huge list of historical and modern places of international importance:
- Mysterious and romantic Las Ramblas – the main street of Madrid and all of Spain. In the morning, afternoon, evening – there is always a holiday here, which consists of casual acquaintances, windy smiles, live music and gatherings in secret cafes.
- Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter is gloomy even on the sunniest days. Here you can hide from the scorching rays and look for ghosts in the nooks and crannies. Most of the buildings, separated by narrow lanes, date back to the 14th and 15th centuries.
- Houses of artists and architects – Dali, Milo, Batllo, Gaudí. If you need inspiration, take a stroll through the places created by great people.
- Cathedrals of Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca and other Catholic cities. They cut the air with sharp spiers and angles, mesmerize passers-by with exquisite bas-reliefs and hide many little secrets.
The “Tourism Board” recommends that all visitors to the site explore excursion tours to Spain. We have compiled thematic routes, which, if they do not show the whole country, will help to breathe in its history-rich atmosphere to the fullest.
Holidays with children
The Spanish Islands are a calm and cheerful place for families with children. All beaches of the Canary Archipelago and Mallorca are well-maintained, clean, equipped with playgrounds and entertainment centers.
An alternative to the islands is a stretch of sea coast called the Costa Dorada. Here is the largest amusement park in the country, Port Aventura.
Surely you have already tasted paella and washed it down with sangria. But if it wasn’t in Spain, then it wasn’t real paella and sangria. We heard that the secret ingredients for them are the sea breeze, the kind hardworking hands of a Spanish chef and the special atmosphere of Spanish cities. Paella – seafood pilaf tinted with saffron – is best cooked in Valencia. Sangria is considered a common Spanish drink made from red wine and fruit. It perfectly quenches thirst and invigorates in the heat.
In the evening, sitting in the city cafe of Valencia with friends or alone, try this dish and wine. And you will taste Spain.
Spain loves airplanes – there are large and small airports in all cities of the country. In one day you can easily swim in the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. Vueling flights are the cheapest.
Rail transportation is carried out by the state company RENFE. For travel between cities, there are “talgo” (fast trains) and “expresso” (passenger trains).
In all cities of the country, paying 15 euros, you will be able to use special tourist buses for three days, which run to popular places.
