This is a complete review of the Neri Barcelona hotel, which includes descriptions of facilities, rooms, transport, directions to the hotel, including from Barcelona Airport.
Neri is a four-star hotel, a real gem hidden in the labyrinthine streets of the Gothic Quarter – the historic barrio. Due to its unique location, the Neri Hotel is a secret to anyone who is not aware of its existence.
And I’ll tell you this, it’s definitely worth it to be in the know because Neri is an almost perfect hotel.
It is housed in a restored 17th century palace next to Plaça Sant Felip Neri, a beautiful and little known square with trees and a fountain in the center. The cathedral is located 20 meters from the hotel, but due to the fact that the hotel is located on a small street, tourists do not go there.

As soon as I entered the Hotel Neri Barcelona, I immediately felt at home (I have expensive taste!). Upon entering the lobby, you will see the reception desk on the right. The staff is welcoming and friendly. The lobby has an old archway and to the left is a charming library with books and newspapers to read if you wish. Right at the entrance, there are two electric bikes that guests can rent.

Hotel Neri has only 22 rooms that are as elegant and tranquil as the lobby.
The rooms are decorated antique with modern touches. There you can find a flat-screen TV against the background of an old brick wall. All rooms have air conditioning, Hi-Fi sound systems, internet, and room service is available. Including all sorts of pleasant little things, such as a daily change of pillows and the ability to choose a filler for them.

Rooms on all three floors have large paintings on various themes hanging above the beds. On the first floor, the theme is Renaissance, on the second and third there are paintings depicting horizons. Another nice touch is the stones in the bathrooms. Quartzite was chosen for its ability to absorb negative energy.

Among other amenities, the restaurant offers a set lunch, and the evening menu includes pigeon and ostrich meat among delicacies. Chef Jordi Ruiz used to work at the world-famous El Bulli restaurant and loves bringing Arabic influences to the Mediterranean menu.
The hotel also has a luxurious terrace with mattresses and sun loungers where you can sunbathe while sipping drinks from the bar.
Towels are provided for guests, and if the sun is really hot, you can freshen up in open showers.
Hotel location
Hotel Neri Barcelona is close to everything you could possibly need. The nearest metro station is 7 minutes walk: Jaume Station (Yellow Line, L4) and La Rambla and Plaça Catalunya are only 10 minutes walk, and from there you can get to any of the 3 metro stations. And the cathedral is generally a stone’s throw away. There is also a small Dalí Museum at Calle Arcs, 5, which is a 5 minute walk away, and if you continue in the same direction, you will end up on Calle Portal d’Angel, where you will find some of the best shops in Barcelona. There are ATMs on the same street and you can go up to Plaça Catalunya and Passeig de Gràcia, where more expensive shops are located.

However, it should be taken into account that the hotel is located in a historical place, in a pedestrian zone, and there are no parking lots. Therefore, tell the taxi driver that you are going to the Neri Hotel and he will give you a ride as close as possible, most likely to Av. De Cathedral. If you need help, you can call the hotel from there.
Train You can take the RENFE train to station Passeig de Gràcia , the journey takes 25 minutes and costs €4.60. At Passeig de Gràcia you will need to change to the green metro line and get off at Liceu station. Your hotel is located five minutes walk from the metro station.
Aerobus The Aerobus can be boarded directly outside the airport terminals T1 or T2 (A, B and C). Bus fare €6.75, journey takes 30 minutes, bus stops at Plaça Catalunya , from where you can walk to Hotel Neri in 15 minutes.

I think Hotel Neri is the kind of place where stars and celebrities run to hide from everyone.
The hotel is a modern classic, a mixture of old and new, antique and modern, all extremely refined and tasteful. I really liked this hotel. Neri may be inferior in size or amenities to larger hotels, but it compensates for this with its own special charm.
