Labeling itself a party hostel, Kabul Hostel sits on Placa Reial — one of the top spots for nightlife in the city — and just steps from lively Las Ramblas. And there’s no illusion that it’s anything else, from pub-style lobby with pumping music and billiards to the rooftop space with sofas made from pallets and lip-shaped seats. The 24 air-conditioned dorms are simple, but include welcome touches like curtained bunks and outlets inside the lockers. Dorms come in a range of configurations, such as twin and female-only dorms, and the largest has 22 bunks. This is a good value for its central location, but travelers wanting a quieter vibe in a similar area might prefer Pension Segre, which has some en-suite rooms, though rates are higher.

Hostal Fernando is a nice step up from the typically dated hostels that can be found throughout Barcelona’s atmospheric Ciutat Vella. It’s clean and well-maintained, with a crisp, contemporary look in its public spaces. Free continental breakfast is offered at the cafeteria-style restaurant, and there’s also a bar and cafe.
The 38 budget-basic rooms come with air-conditioning, safes or private lockers, en-suite bathrooms, and free Wi-Fi. Regular hotel rooms have flat-screen TVs. Some rooms are quite small, though dorm rooms are handy for the truly budget conscious.

The 24-room Pension Segre is a value hotel with an excellent location in the Gothic Quarter. It’s not technically a hostel, but it has basic, no-frills Single, Double, and Triple rooms, as well as Family rooms that can sleep up to six people. Some have en-suite bathrooms and/or balconies. There’s no air-conditioning, which can be rough in the summer, and only floor or table fans are offered for cooling. (All rooms at Kabul and Fernando have air-conditioning.) There’s also nothing in the way of features here aside from a communal area with a small TV, microwave, and mini-fridge. Most guests who stay here do so for the price and the location.

The best option is to take Aerobus from the airport which costs 6€.
Get down to Catalunya Square & from there it is a 15 minutes walk to the hostel.
Or In Catalunya, you can take the L1 metro to Urquinaona (1 stop) and then it is 7 minutes walk to the hostel
> By Train:
Take the metro L5 to Verdaguer. In Verdauger change to metro L4 and head down to Jaume I metro station. From there it is 1-2 minutes walk to the hostel

The location of the hotel is perfect (as noted earlier in the reviews), the rooms are not large, a little “tired” (a small bathroom renovation and repair of broken furniture are needed), but this is the only and small minus.

9000 2 This is a basic hostel, basic beds and showers, but so good. Everything was very clean and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was simple but a really nice addition. We had a sink and mirror in our room (three beds) which was helpful with preparation. Also, the location is perfect.
Would definitely recommend this hostel.

Excellent location. The hostel is located 2 minutes from the Rambla in the heart of Barcelona. Also near the gothic quarter. The waterfront is about 10 minutes walk. The room itself is small. The room has a bed, table, wardrobe and sink. Shower and toilet are on the floor. Given that the rooms on the floor are not a few problems did not arise. The bed “double” is actually a little more than a half, so it’s not very comfortable to sleep in two.

Tiny hostel, located directly on the Rambla, how to walk from Plaça Catalunya (5 minutes walk). Practically opposite Buccaria. The hostel is inconspicuous, on the ground floor there is an Indian shop. The hostel is run by Indians. The staff is very welcoming and friendly.
The rooms are tiny – in fact, bypass the bed – but clean, albeit basic. The bathroom is also neat and clean. There is air conditioning. Our windows did not face the Rambla, so it was relatively quiet. Near the Rambla with all its abundance of cafes, restaurants, shops and shops, and most importantly – Buccheria – a fantastic Catalan food market in Barcelona. The location is excellent, right in the heart of the Gothic Quarter and not too far from Las Ramblas Beach and Barcelona. The hostel is located in narrow roads with original restaurants and convenient shops.
Breakfast was poor but there were great places to eat nearby.

Very clean hostel, located in the center of Gothic, it is not difficult to find, there are many bars and the best tapas nearby.
