Bayern Munich Info

The club was founded in 1900, by a group of 11 players led by the famous Franz John. Later it would become the third most valuable team in the world, with a 1.23 billion dollar valuation.
The club is owned by a private group called AG, in a co-joint stock with Bayern Munchen, which own many sports organizations around Munich.

The current president of the club is Uli Hoeneß, who’s been in this position since 2016, succeeding Karl Hopfner and becoming president of the club for the second time.

Bayern Munich is quite popular worldwide, holding more than 45 million fans on Facebook, and 390 thousand registered club members, which is the highest amongst all clubs worldwide.

Many superstars have worn the Bayern uniform, including Franz Beckenbauer, Gerd Müller, Oliver Kahn, Philipp Lahm, Mark van Bommel, Bastian Schweinsteiger and many more.
Currently, the team success can be attributed to famous striker Robert Lewandowski, Arjen Robben, Manuel Neuer, and many others.

Along the years there have been many great coaches that have taken Bayern Munich to greatness, including Pep Guardiola, Ottmar Hitzfeld and Udo Lattek. The current head coach is the Croatian Niko Kovač, who took charge in July 2018.

Sepp Maier holds the record of the number of league appearances for the club with 473, followed by Oliver Kahn at 429 and Gerd Müller at 427, who also holds the record of goals scored in the history of the league with 365.

Bayern Munich holds a very important recent rivalry against Borrusia Dortmund as they are both known to be the 2 best teams in Germany. They’ve held a few other rivalries with teams like Shalke, Werden Bremen and Bayer Leverkusen.

There has been an absolute domestic dominance from Bayern Munich FC, where they have won the Bundesliga 27 times, outperforming the second place in trophies won (both Borrusia Dortmund and Borrusia Mönchengladbach with 5 each). International performance has been strong as well, competing in the UEFA Europa League and hunting the trophy as a strong contender every single year. Tickets for a Bayern match directly from the club – Football Travel – Blogs

This post was written by a Sports. ru user, every fan can start writing (you can do it here).

We bought tickets as official members of Bayern or Mitglieders. Details can be found in our previous post. Thanks to this, we had the opportunity to take a ticket directly and without extra charges. This time we will talk about this way of visiting the stadium, and next time we will tell you what to do if you just want to enjoy football and are not ready to join any associations.

To begin with, let’s clarify that the seats at the Allianz Arena are divided into 5 categories – from the most expensive to the cheapest . Do not worry – the designers and builders did their best, and you will be able to see everything perfectly even if you are sitting under the roof itself (there are no places with a limited viewing angle here). Category 1 tickets cost €70 in Bundesliga and German Cup matches and €100 in Champions League matches . Category 2 will cost you €60 and €80 respectively , Category 3 €45 and €60 5 category – these are standing places behind the gate on the lower tier, their cost is €15 . For the Champions League they are transformed into seated ones (according to UEFA regulations) and their cost increases to €30 . For Champions League matches, an additional fee of €5 euros per ticket is charged.

Allianz Arena scheme with sectors and ticket prices. The first price is Bundesliga and German Cup matches. In parentheses are Champions League matches excluding commission.

So you’ve already become a Mitglieder and are about to get a ticket. To do this, you need to go to the Bayern website in the “Tickets” section – https://fcbayern.com/en/tickets. You will be presented with a menu of four options for purchasing tickets – booking (Ticket Application), online purchase (Online Ticketing), exchange (Ticket Exchange) and VIP seats (Hospitality Tickets). From here in more detail.

Main page of the “Tickets” section.

Booking is an extremely troublesome business. You leave an application for a particular match, and as soon as the date and time of its holding becomes known, money for a ticket is debited from your bank card in accordance with the category that you have chosen. In return, you will receive an e-ticket by mail, which you need to print. There are some exceptions to this rule (the first and last matches of the Bundesliga, the group stage of the Champions League) – where the funds are credited to the club’s account about a month before the match. It is impossible to choose the exact place, the distribution is random.

Ticket booking page. “Overbooked” – all tickets are booked. “Create inquiry” – booking for this match is still available.

The problem is that Bayern is a very popular club whose home games sell out faster than Roach the horse responds to the call of Geralt of Rivia. The same goes for booking. You will have to guess a vacation or a specific visit date for a specific match in the summer – by the time the season starts, all tickets will already be booked . If there are more applications than seats in the stadium, then the lucky ones are determined in the order of the lottery (this applies to the Champions League and the German Cup – for Bundesliga games, the number of tickets booked is the same as the number of seats in the stadium). So your booking for a Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid or England’s Liverpool doesn’t mean you’ll definitely get the coveted Allianz Arena pass.

Online shopping is a rather useless tool. The reason is the same – the popularity of the club. Rare matches can be watched by purchasing a ticket through this section. Basically, these are friendly matches, meetings with teams from the “basement” of the standings after winning the championship ahead of schedule … and, perhaps, that’s all. In 99% of cases you will meet the sad inscription “Sold out” – “Sold out” .

Online ticket purchase page. The “Buy online” and “Member section” buttons mean that tickets are available. The inscriptions “No online sale” or “Sold out” say that there are no more tickets.

• But don’t despair. Of the 75,000 people that the stadium can hold, there are bound to be Hans and Marta and their friends who will refuse their tickets for one reason or another. In this case, they sell tickets back to the club, returning the cost to themselves, and the tickets themselves go to Ticket Exchange – the official exchange office . This section is best characterized by the word “thrown out” – here it is the tickets that are thrown away, and whoever managed to grab them buys them. You can buy tickets on average within a month before the match. It was here that we bought a ticket for the match, as this mechanism is the most reliable. Although it is not without an element of luck.

Ticket exchange page. This section is available only to Mitglieders. “Tickets available” – there is an opportunity to compete for tickets. “No tickets available at the moment” means that no one has canceled tickets yet or the club has not opened the sale.

The purchase mechanism is simple – you go to this section, look for the meeting you are interested in, click on the “Member section” button, and you will get a map of the stadium, as well as all currently available seats. You choose the place you like, add it to the cart and buy – everything is like in a regular online store . If someone has already managed to snatch it before you, then you will be notified about this, and then you will have to go through the whole procedure again, but already looking for new places. Bayern does not sell more than 4 tickets. After the purchase, you will receive an electronic ticket (print-at-home ticket) by mail, by printing it, you can safely go to the stadium.

Appearance of the window with available tickets in the exchange office. Here you have the opportunity to select a specific sector, row and place. The purchase process is no more difficult than in any online store.

For medium matches (ordinary Bundesliga matches, low stages of the German Cup against noteworthy outsiders, group stage of the Champions League against medium teams) it is not difficult to get the coveted pass to the Allianz Arena – almost until the day of the match you you can purchase a ticket and even choose the most suitable one from those presented on the site.

For the match between Bayern and Borussia Monchengladbach (the club had already won the championship, but the opponent was a principled one, a kind of derby), we tried to get tickets for the lower tier of seats and preferably as close as possible to each other. As a result, expectations were more than justified – 121 sectors (lower tier, middle), 19row, adjacent places. We didn’t have to sit on the site for a long time – we got such successful tickets with a difference of 12 hours with a rare viewing of the exchange page. This can be described by the phrase “get off lightly.”

Appearance of match tickets.

With tickets for rating matches (Bayern – Borussia Dortmund, the high stages of the German Cup, the Champions League playoffs, the opening and closing of the Bundesliga season) everything is many times more complicated. For such events, you no longer have to pick and choose places – The only question here is how to get to stadium at all. It is very likely that your place will be under the roof, but such are the laws of the genre. But you will buy a ticket at face value, you will be sure that you did not overpay, and that you are guaranteed to be in the thick of things.

Let’s take an example. A year earlier, we were able to get to Philipp Lahm’s last match in the Bundesliga, in which Bayern faced Freiburg. We had to literally sit down on the site, regularly updating the page of the exchanger in the hope that the ticket would eventually appear. It doesn’t take 10-15 minutes – get ready to polish the “Refresh” button on your keyboard to a shine. We tried to catch tickets for several days, spending several hours on the site, and the catch mechanism was to constantly and continuously update the page. Along the way, several times someone was ahead of us and snatched tickets a second or two earlier. This will test your nerves and endurance, but it’s worth it. As a result, we got tickets under the very roof, on opposite sides of the stadium, but even from there the field is perfectly visible.
