13 Photos That Will Make You Want to Visit Barcelona
Inspiration
In Gaudí we trust.
By Caitlin Morton
There are many reasons colorful Barcelona is one of the world’s most beloved cities. And while the capital of Catalonia may have vibrant beach and bar scenes, it’s the tranquil pleasures that keep us coming back: the narrow lanes of the Gothic quarter; the savory tapas and sweet sangria; the staggering mountain views. And then, of course, there’s the Gaudí architecture. Here are 13 photos that will make you want to book a flight right now.

With its organic shapes (including a giant, tiled salamander) and Gaudí House-Museum, the park is an excellent introduction to the city’s most famous architect.

The basilica has been under construction since 1882 (no typo) and is scheduled to completed on the centenary of Gaudi’s death in 2026. Makes the two-hour entrance queue seem pretty quick, no?

Fancy hotels in Barcelona
Arts Barcelona is a grandiose building of original architecture overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and Port Olympique. Its unique shape, in the form of a sparkling shell, has made the hotel the most famous in the city, the hotel is notable for the fact that it houses a collection of works of modern Spanish art, numbering more than a thousand works. The minimalist style of the rooms is elegant and modern. Guests will love … Open
Traditions and flavor of Barcelona
The Spaniards are not distinguished by punctuality, this national feature has long been noticed and remains an occasion for jokes. Residents of Barcelona are used to having breakfast very late, local cafes begin to fill up with visitors only after noon. Dinners here are also quite late, so many restaurants are open until midnight. When communicating with local residents, one should try to avoid political topics, and in no case should … Open
Barcelona City Guide
El Born and City Park
El Born is a very beautiful and peaceful area. Walking from the old city in the direction of the city park Parc de la Ciutadella, you will definitely pass El Born or, as it is also called by analogy with the New York quarter, Barcelona’s Soho. El Borne is a typical example of the creative power of the new Barcelona. Only 10 years ago this area was completely unpopular and certainly not a tourist attraction. … Open
Overview of luxury hotels in Barcelona
The old mansion El Palauet Living Barcelona, where the old and the new perfectly beat each other, is one of the best hotels in the city. Ornamental stucco from the turn of the century on the ceilings and automatic light switching on by hand clapping. Unique mosaic floors, frescoes, stained-glass windows and a built-in audio system, home theater and Internet – it’s like being in a time machine. More of a palace than just an old building, Hotel El Palace recently … Open
Barcelona: holidays with children
Another favorite vacation spot for tourists with children is the Barcelona beach. Already in May, the water in it warms up to a comfortable temperature and remains suitable for swimming until the end of October. Those who visit Barcelona in winter should definitely take a walk along the picturesque promenade, and in autumn and spring, the beach will be a great place to organize a picnic. A fabulous spectacle that is sure to impress … Open
Stylish design hotels
Completely different from the classic hotel Eurostars Anglí. This is an explosion, fantasy, courage. With graffiti, sheep to be counted at bedtime, floors that look like lush green meadows, translucent surfaces and color contrasts, the designer’s stunts will fire the imagination of anyone who finds themselves here. And, despite the fact that the elegant design hotel is located in a quiet residential area, excellent opportunities for recreation and … Open
