The dancers were talented and gave their all to the performance. What was missing for us was the male and female dance that can add an exciting dynamic to flamenco. We also missed the use of the castanets in most of the show.

I first was skeptical as I did not expect a genuine Flamenco show. But then everything was totally beyond my expectation. #1. The location. It was in the beautiful Palau de la Música Catalana. This concert was just awesome. #2. The cast was top notch even though I was no expert of Flamenco. A bit confusing was the ticket redemption process: at the end, there was a person at the door where he confirmed my purchase and then handed me the tickets. There was no need of going to the box office or anything.

A True Flamenco Experience

Such a beautiful theater and such an amazing show. The performers brought the passion and skill of Flamenco dancing to life. There is a restaurant conveniently located next door for you to have dinner prior to the show and a cafe where you can enjoy some pastries and coffee before the show or after.

Excellent performance, poor seating

Excellent performance! The performers displayed energy and passion.
However, my 5’1”” tall wife could not see much of the performance from her seat. She had to stand up for almost the entire performance and even then some of the performers were not visible!

Don’t miss Gran Gala Flamenco at Palau de la Musica!

We attended the Gran Gala Flamenco show a part of my sister’s birthday celebration. The Palau de la Musica Theatre itself is worth the ticket price. We didn’t get to have a full tour but it was beautiful. The Gran Gala Flamenco musicians, singers and dancers were magnificent and so talented!!

Amazing Flamenco performance.
The musicians singers and dancers were wonderful and very skilled. The performance was varied with different music, costumes and dances. I appreciated that it was a concert rather than a show where the audience talks and drinks throughout. Very professional and passionate.

The highlight of our trip. You can pick what theatre you book at so make sure it’s the Palau Musica. The performance was powerful and moving and the theatre is gorgeous. Down in the front rows you can see the dancers’ faces – up in the balcony I think you’d better be able to see their feet. Absolutely worth it.
