Views depend on weather
Nov 2019 • Friends
We took a day trip to Mount Walker at the recommendation of a friend who lives in the area. We didn’t have time to do the hike, which I imagine is beautiful. There is a small parking lot at the bottom of the mountain for parking if you do want to hike up.
You can also drive up, which is what we did. If you are expecting the grand mountains of Colorado, that is not what you will get. This is a small mountain with, what I imagine to be beautiful views on a good day. We had a lot of clouds.
I can see the appeal as there aren’t a lot of folks who visit this area. If you have time, it might be worth a visit. Not sure I’d go back if I was in the area.

Cool drive up Mount Walker
Sep 2019
Yes the drive on forest gravel road 2730 was very cool but once at the top it was very misty.
So no mountain view. But we had a very nice picnichigh up in the company of the naughty little nutcrackers who tried to steel the food from our plates.

Partial view but still worth the drive
Aug 2019 • Couples
From the highway we could see that the clouds were starting to get to the mountain top. We decided to drive up anyway and had no view looking towards the Olympic mountains but could see water for about 10 minutes at the other viewing area before the clouds obstructed nearly all of the view. It was very peaceful. Sure, I would have liked to be able to see more but I would drive up again should an opportunity presents itself. Drive carefully!

The View Is Great But the Drive Is Not!!!
Jun 2019 • Couples
I found the drive up and down the steep, narrow, winding, gravel road to be scary, and I was only the passenger! There were many ruts in the road, and there was even a spot where a rock slide had been recently cleared. It was definitely a challenging drive even though we only met two cars coming in the opposite direction. The view was great once we reached the top, but I could have done without the stress of the drive up and back. If you like many turns on a narrow unpaved road, this one is for you!

Awesome view

Well worth the 4 mile drive up.
Super easy access to the north and south lookout. My husband is a disabled vet and had no problem walking to each lookout.
A little cloudy when we were there but the view was still amazing.

While camping nearby we thought we would take a drive. The view both to the North and South was beautiful. We could see Mt. Baker, Seattle, Tacoma, Mt. Rainier. Can be windy so be prepared.

Nice views from the top.
Aug 2018 • Family
We drove to the top of Mt. Walker on our last day on the Olympic peninsula. When we were there the sky was still a little hazy from the forest fires in British Columbia, but we still had great views of the Olympic mountains and Puget Sound. The drive to the top is on a gravel road so be prepared it will be a little dusty. However, the parking areas are just a short walk from the overlooks at the top, and the views from the top are worth the drive. For the more adventurous there is a lower trail head and you can hike to the top as well.

Little big Walker
Aug 2018 • Couples
By no means the largest of the Olympic peaks Mt Walked is worth a drive to the top – two hour plus walk depending on your pace. There is such a stunning view of the Hood Canal and beyond and a superb vista of some of the larger peaks it’s worth the time. Even on a semi clear day there is an extensive panaorama on view.

Beautiful and peaceful view
Aug 2018 • Family
Drove this windy road to the top of Mt Walker (Park on maps) for a beautiful South and North view of Puget Sound and the surrounding mountain ranges. I thought I was going to have to hike it and was pleasantly surprised I could drive to the top with my two kiddos. (Vault toilets and picnic tables at the top.) It was very quiet and peaceful, enjoyed the view and the largest dragon flies I’ve ever seen! About a 25 minute drive from Dosewallips State Park.

Gee whiz, what a road!
Apr 2018 • Couples
Don’t be put off by the long steep narrow gravel road, it’s fine for just about any car and the views from the top are spectacular. And there are two separate viewpoints – roughly speaking sea one side and mountains the other.

Mount Walker – 5.0 Miles Round-Trip
Mount Walker (2,805′) rises from the west shore of Puget Sound with views across the greater Seattle area. Visitors will enjoy panoramas that include the Olympic Range, Buckhorn Range, Quilcene Range, Mt Rainier, Downtown Seattle and Puget Sound from its distinct north and south summits
The Mount Walker Trail is relatively short but extremely steep, climbing 2000′ in just 2 miles:
The trail rises east from the parking lot through a rhododendron-salal The lush understory of the Hoh Rainforest In Olympic National Park, Washington.”>understory into healthy mixed conifers that recovered from a major fire in the late 1800s. These Douglas fir generally exceed 100 years and the cedar are quite impressive.
The trail gains 1300′ in this first mile alone (1.0 miles : 2,145′). While views are non-existent along the trail, the dense forest and high tree canopy lock in the peaceful sounds of area birds such as the Hermit Warbler and Sooty Grouse.
The well maintained trail continues its ascent through the final mile until breaking out into the established north summit of Mount Walker (2.0 miles : 2,805′). The north summit features 180 degree views of Mount Constance, Warrior Peak, Buckhorn Mountain and more.
After enjoying the north summit views, continue along the trail and hop on Mount Walker Viewpoint Road for the easy .5 mile walk to the south summit of Mount Walker (2. 5 miles : 2,805′).
The south summit features amazing views to the east and south including: Mount Rainier, Downtown Seattle, Puget Sound and the lower Quilcene Range.

Great view of Laspi
sept. 2021
Having made a stop at the Laspinsky pass, we climbed the stairs to the observation deck. Equipped on a rock named after the Russian engineer Garin-Mikhailovsky. The site offers a magnificent view of the Black Sea coast.

Excursion
Aug. 2019 • Family vacation
Were passing through this place on an excursion. The place struck with its beauty! 10 minutes is enough to admire and go further. On the observation deck, they offer to take pictures with peacocks or some other bird. There are many tents with souvenirs, but I don’t recommend taking it, because it’s not cheap, of course. Better to go somewhere else.

Gorgeous view
July 2019 • Family vacation
Laspinskiy pass, the highest point of the Sevastopol-Yalta highway.
⛰️ I love this place, the observation deck offers crazy views of Laspinskaya Bay, the Batiliman tract.
Very nice chapel of the Nativity of Christ, perfectly blended into the landscape.
There are always a lot of tourists, there are stalls with souvenirs. Stopping is a must.

How to find
May 2019 • For two
On the route Sevastopol-Yalta we see a sign (photo 1) – 0.1 km to the right. Obediently we park the car, go around the barrier (photo 2) and go nowhere 🙂 The road leads down, most likely to the beach. You don’t really need to go there! We move along the main road after the sign for another 100 m (photo 3) to the parking lot and there we already find an observation deck.
In the same place we find the restaurant “Legend” – lunch or dinner or just a glass of wine on the terrace overlooking the sea and mountains. Wonderful!
p.s. On the route from Yalta, the pointer to the observation deck is well located – do not slip through.

Krutotenyushka – cool!!!
Feb. 2019 • For two
An unrealistically beautiful view opens from this platform! Friends, we rent a car and drive from Sevastopol to Yalta, in front of the covered crossing (not a tunnel) there is a chapel and a couple of cafes, and from the chapel there are steps up to this site. The view is breathtaking and indescribable, the height is dizzying. Delight)) and this is in February! On my trip to Yalta, I consider visiting this view as an important moment (although we stopped by it quite by accident, according to the principle: “oh, what’s interesting, let’s stop by?” Which, in the end, turned into the discovery of such an amazingly beautiful place.

Beauty .. but it’s better not to look under your feet. Lots of rubbish that hasn’t been cleaned up for a long time. the steps to the platform are old and slippery in places! Be careful!
