Cambios en el servicio de autobuses

El servicio en las siguientes rutas será cambiado o eliminado. Los cambios pueden afectar el servicio en algunas paradas de autobuses y estaciones de Metrorail.

DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA

43 Mount Pleasant

Los autobuses de la tarde comenzarán el servicio en una nueva parada a lo largo de la I (Eye) Street hacia el oeste, al oeste de 14th Street NW. Los autobuses ya no proporcionarán servicio a Franklin Square.

E6 Chevy Chase

P17, P18, P19 Oxon Hill-Fort Washington

El servicio de las rutas P17 y P19 al centro de DC será descontinuado.

10N Washington National Airport

Habrá un nuevo servicio nocturno los viernes y sábados y los domingos temprano en la mañana entre Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, Crystal City y Pentagon en respuesta al cambio en las horas de servicio de Metrorail. Las conexiones para el Distrito de Columbia u otros servicios de autobús en Virginia estarán disponibles desde la estación Metrorail del Pentagon.

13Y Arlington-Union Station

La ruta 13Y será eliminada.

15K, 15L Chain Bridge Road

La mayoría de servicio de la mañana y de la tarde funcionará entre la estación de Metrorail East Falls Church y McLean-Langley como ruta 15K. El primer servicio de ruta de la mañana en dirección norte de la ruta 15K saldrá de la estación de Metrorail Rosslyn para permitir las conexiones tempranas entre Metrorail y Langley.

18P, 18R, 18S Burke Centre

Se agregarán al horario servicios de ruta adicionales por la mañana para la ruta 18P.

28A Leesburg Pike

REX Richmond Highway Express

El servicio entre semana se extenderá a la Fort Belvoir Post Exchange/Commissary vía Gunston Road.

SafeTrack Plan de Mantenimiento #16 Línea roja: Shady Grove a Twinbrook

El plan de mantenimiento #16 comenzará el sábado 17 de junio y continuará hasta el domingo 25 de junio. Un segmento de cinco millas de la línea roja entre Shady Grove y Twinbrook estará cerrado durante nueve días para reemplazar los durmientes, actualizar las vías y renovar soldaduras.

Puntos Importantes:

No habrá servicio de tren entre Shady Grove y Twinbrook.
Dos estaciones, Shady Grove y Rockville, estarán cerradas durante este plan de mantenimiento y el servicio de Metrorail será reemplado por los autobuses gratuitos de enlace que darán servicio todo el día.
Se les recomienda a los usuarios que normalmente utilizan Shady Grove o Rockville iniciar su viaje en Twinbrook, White Flint, Glenomont o Wheaton durante este tiempo.
En el resto de la línea roja, los trenes mantendrán un servicio con intervalos cerca de lo normal.

Impactos de servicio

De lunes a viernes:

Las estaciones de Shady Grove y Rockville estarán cerradas.
Los trenes de la línea roja operarán cerca de un servicio normal cada 8 minutos (normalmente 6 minutos) entre Glenmont y Twinbrook.
Los trenes adicionales de la línea roja operarán entre Grosvernor y Silver Spring cada 4 minutos (normalmente 3 minutos).
Un servicio limitado de autobuses de enlace gratuito reemplazará el servicio de trenes entre Shady Grove, Rockville y Grosvenor en todos los horarios.
El servicio exprés de autobús de Metrobus, Ride On y Shuttle-UM funcionará durante las horas pico de lunes a viernes entre Shady Grove y Grosvernor.

Lisbon

38 Lisbon – the capital of Portugal, the largest city and main port of the country. Located on the southwestern coast of the Iberian Peninsula on the Tagus River, in close proximity to the Atlantic Ocean. The population is about 550 thousand people. Lisbon is one of the oldest cities in the world and the oldest city in Western Europe, hundreds of years older than Rome, London, Paris and other historical places of the Old World.

By 205 B.C. Lisbon is first mentioned as a large settlement of the Iberian Lusitan tribe called Olisippo, which was captured by the Romans who invaded the Pyrenees. Later, the city came under the rule of the Visigoths, and from 711 under the influence of the Muslims, who gave it the name Lishbuna.

In 1147, the crusader knights led by Alfonso I of Portugal retook Lisbon and the city returned to a Christian way of life: all the mosques were destroyed or rebuilt into churches, and most Muslims fled to North Africa. In 1256, the royal court and the government were transferred to Lisbon, and the city became the capital of Portugal, which predetermined its further development in all areas, primarily as the most important trading point connecting Northern Europe with the cities of the Mediterranean.

In October 1910, an uprising took place in Lisbon, which went down in history as the “Portuguese Revolution”, as a result of which the monarchy was overthrown and the Portuguese Republic was proclaimed.

Today, Lisbon continues to play the role of the largest economic, political and tourist center of Portugal.

Getting there

Portela is the international airport of Lisbon, located in the northern part of the city. Opened at 1942 and is the largest airport in Portugal.
You can get from the airport to the city center by metro: the Aeroporto station on the red line of the Lisbon metro is located in terminal 1 for arrivals. You can also go to the city by bus, taxi and even bicycles, which you can immediately rent.
