FC Barcelona Tickets 2022/2023 – Compare and Buy Tickets with SeatPick

FC Barcelona has always been known for their enjoyable and highly entertaining style of football which always seemed to yield results. They are regarded by many as the architects of modern football due to their invention of the “tiki-taka style of play”, a brand of football that mesmerizes both the opposing fans and football lovers alike. Little wonder why they are, according to Forbes Magazine, the club with the most social media followers.

FC Barcelona is a football club based in Barcelona, Spain. FC Barcelona plays at the renowned Camp Nou stadium, which was finished in 1957, and it is considered one of the biggest stadiums in the world, with a capacity of 99 thousand people, making it the biggest stadium in Europe.

The club was founded in 1899, by a group of people led by the famous Joan Gamper. Later it would become the third most valuable team in the world, with a 4.07 billion dollar valuation.
The club is owned by the club of supporters, representing the “Cules”, a term derived from the Catalan culture.

Josep Maria Bartomeu is the current president of the organization, who’s been in this position since 2014, succeeding Sandro Rosell.

Barcelona is quite popular worldwide, holding more than 100 million fans on Facebook, and with an estimated half a billion fans around the globe.

Many superstars have worn the Blaugrana uniform, including Johan Cruyff, Ronaldinho, Andres Iniesta, Ronaldo, Carles Puyol, Rivaldo and many many more.
Currently, the team success can be attributed to legend striker Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Gerard Pique, and many others.

There have been many great coaches that have taken Barcelona to greatness, including Pep Guardiola, Johan Cruyff, and Luis Enrique. Those were also part of the Barcelona squad back in their time. The current head coach is the Spaniard Ernesto Valverde, who replaced Luis Enrique in May 2017.

Xavi holds the record of the number of appearances for the club with 505, followed by Iniesta at 442 and Messi (who’s still active) with 414. Lionel Messi holds the record of goals scored for the team in all competitions with 378.

Barcelona holds a very important rivalry against Real Madrid as they are both known to be the 2 best teams in the world. El Clasico, which happens at least twice a year is one of the most heated and televised events in the world.

The best years for FC Barcelona have definitely been in the last 20, where they’ve been able to capitalize in the domestic Liga, won a couple of Champions League, and dominated the stats inside and outside the game in an astonishing way while demonstrating their famous tiki-taka style of play identified by short passes and constant movement, working the ball through multiple channels, and sustaining possession of the ball.

Nickname
  • Many regard them as the “Blaugrana” while some prefer to simply call them “Barca”.
Team Info

As one of the richest and most popular clubs in the world, FC Barca has never been found wanting when it comes to investing in their squad. The club has one of the best groups of football players, coaching crew and staff in the world. With players like Coutinho, Suarez, Busquets, Pique and of course the maestro “Leo Messi” within their ranks it’s not surprising how they’ve managed to dominate the Spanish La Liga in recent years. Coached by Ernest Valverde, Barca has maintained its position as one of the best in the game.

Current League

Currently a force to be reckoned in the Spanish La Liga

Past Season Results

FC Barcelona has been a dominant force both on and off the pitch and in recent seasons they’ve dominated the Spanish top flight and Europe. They conquered Spain again last season by winning a domestic double.

Stadium

Camp Nou is the current home of FC Barcelona and with a capacity of 99,354 it’s without a doubt the largest stadium in Europe and the third-largest in the world.

Historical Accomplishments

During their trophy laden history, they have won 23 La Liga titles, 5 Champions Leagues, 27 Copa del Rey trophies and 4 UEFA Cup Winners’ cups.

Club Anthem

Traditionally, the Barca anthem is known as “El cant del Barca” is always played on loudspeakers at the stadium while the fans sing aloud in unison.

Rivalries and Competition

Barca still endures a domestic rivalry in the form of Espanyol due to the fact that both teams are situated within the Barcelona Metropolitan area in Spain. However, the real competitive power tussle comes in the form of Real Madrid. A club they’ve had to battle against historically in terms of financial power, position, trophies, signing players etc. Both clubs are the two giants in the Spanish League and any match between these two fierce rivals is called the “El Clasico” which translates to “The Classic”. The El Clasico is among the biggest football games of every football season across the globe because of the number of talents and quality on show.

How Tourists Can See the Action

Seeing a Barcelona FC game means seeing the best club in the world.

The spectacle from Messi to the stadium itself isn’t just a dream come true for football fans but a great way to get in touch with Catalan culture.

But to do this you’ve gotta get FC Barcelona tickets first.

Let’s discover all there is to know about how to attend the games, the team’s schedule, and a whole lot of information about Barcelona’s famous stadium Camp Nou.

Contrary to popular belief the word ‘Barça’ does not refer to the city itself.

This is the nickname used to describe Barcelona FC.

If you’re looking for the nickname of the city then you’ll have to say ‘Barna’ lest you be chewed out by locals or pretentious expats like myself 😛

Barça is the most decorated team of the 21st century and in total counts: 24 Liga championships, 28 Copa del Rey, and 5 Champions League trophies.

Add it all up and we’re talking about one of the most known and loved teams not only in Catalonia but around the world. And one of Barcelona’s top attractions.

The club’s motto is més que un club – “more than a club”.

You’ll feel this immediately as football in the city is really not only a game but a religion, where the Barcelona faithful cheer on Saint Messi and co as they take on the world.

If you want to get on the good side of a local talking about the potency of this team and its long list of stars like Messi, Suarez, and Iniesta is a great way to start.

Sports fan? No Barcelona itinerary is complete without it.

Where to Buy Barcelona FC Tickets

My suggestion is buying tickets in advance through Tiqets.

Not only is it an official ticket resale outlet but it gives you the added convenience of not printing tickets or paying exorbitant prices.

You’ll also get to sit in premium seats behind the goals, the Northern Grandstand (Gol 1, 2, 3), or in the Lateral (1, 2, 3) zones.

CAMP NOU MATCH TICKETS

Book your seat now

Barcelona ticket prices range from about €10.00 for low end Copa del Rey games to up into the thousands for things like El Clasico (against Real Madrid).

FYI: minors 14 and up are able to attend alone however younger visitors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

If there is no ticket availability here you can look for alternative agents like the following:

  • The Official FC Barcelona website: for the biggest Champions League matches and other La Liga tilts the tickets found here are guaranteed.
  • In the FC Barcelona and FCBotigues shops. The official stores of the club are found at the following locations: Camp Nou, Passeig de Gracia 15, and at La Roca Village in La Roca del Vallès (Polígono Industrial Can Massaguer Nord). Other Barcelona shopping destinations recognized as official partners can be found at: Maremàgnum Shopping Centre, Las Arenas Shopping Centre, Plaça Catalunya, Carrer Jaume I 18, Barcelona El Prat airport both T1 and T2, Sants Station and near the Sagrada Familia at Carrer de Mallorca 406.
  • The ticket windows at Camp Nou: hours will be listed below.

Things to Know Before Buying

  • Only minors 14 and over can attend matches alone: any younger and they will have to attend with a paying adult.
  • UEFA rules dictate that foreigners cannot buy tickets for the home team – meaning if you’re going to buy Champions League tickets you will need get them in the visitor’s section or get a VIP/box ticket.

FC Barcelona Schedule and Tickets

The Joan Gamper Cup

Football/soccer lovers will be happy that the sport comes back with a vengeance in August in Barcelona.

The first of Barça’s most important matches of the season is in honour of its founder and former president Hans Gamper. The match involves an invited team from anywhere in the world and the 2019 Gamper Cup guest is the legendary English club Arsenal on August 4th at 8:00 pm.

You may also want to take a tour of Camp Nou stadium to see some of the best sports memorabilia around including Champions League trophies, Messi’s Golden Boots and more.

How to Get to Camp Nou

You’ll find Camp Nou in the Les Corts area at Avenida d’Arístides Maillol 12.

It’s about 8-10 minutes walking from the metro stations Badal (blue line L5), Les Corts (green line L3), and Collblanc (blue line L5 and orange line L9).

You can also reach the grounds with a 20 minute walk from Sants Estacio.

In my article dedicated to Camp Nou I go into a bit more detail on how to arrive, some great restaurants in the area, and some things to do for non football fans.

How do we get back to our hotel after the game?

This is one of the most common questions I get asked.

Depending on where you are and how quickly you want to beat the crowd there are a few options:

  • If you’ve got yourself an Hola Bcn pass with unlimited transport you’ll be able to grab the metro. The metro is open from Sunday to Thursday until midnight, until 2 am on Friday, and runs all night on Saturday.
  • Another option is taking a taxi. Not only is this the easiest way to get to your hotel or Airbnb fast and saves you from long lines at the metro, but with the application Free Now (for either Android or iOS) you’ll get €5. 00 off your first ride. It’s also convenient because you’ll be able to pre-book and have a meeting place arranged without the hassle of flagging one down. The cost to most central areas should be about €10.00-€12.00.
  • If you’re a bus person then you’ll have bus 50 and 54 as an option before 10 pm. Both depart from outside the Collblanc metro station and will take you back towards Plaça de Catalunya. There’s also the 67 that runs from Maria Cristina metro. After 10 pm you’ll have to get one of the two night buses heading back central: N28 and N2.

Camp Nou Box Office Hours

At Camp Nou stadium there are 5 separate ticket window areas located in the following sections: 7, 9, 14, Gol Nord, and Gol Sud.

Here are the hours for each:

  • Section 14: from Monday to Thursday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Friday from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm, Saturday (only game days) from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm.
  • Boulevard Section (access to 7 and 9): from Monday to Saturday in high season from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm, in low season from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm. On game days it’s open from 11:00 am to the end of the match.
  • Gol Nord and Gol Sud: on game days both are open from 11:00 am till the end of the game.

Best Place to Sit at Camp Nou

When any football fan touches down at Camp Nou stadium they’re headed for goose bump territory.

The gigantic 48 meter high, 55 thousand square meter stadium has a capacity of 99,354 which makes it the biggest stadium in Europe!

Since it’s so massive it’s imperative that you find a great spot as sometimes sight-lines can be substandard or even warranting binoculars.

Naturally your position will depend some on your budget, however in general I can say that pretty much anywhere on the second level will offer you a great chance to see Messi and Co get to work.

If you’ve got enough money for level one you’ll see the action up close but keep in mind you won’t have a great view of the entire field.

The Barcelona game tickets sold via Tiqets above are at GOL (1, 2, 3) and LATERAL (1, 2, 3), all offering a great view of the match.

Kick Off in the Comments Below

Again, whether you’re right up front or up in the nosebleeds for most football fans it will barely even matter.

Seeing some of football’s greatest players in one of the world’s great stadiums will provide memories of a lifetime.

Barcelona Football Club is one of the highest paid and most famous clubs in the world. The club management model is very different from others. Barcelona is owned by the fans, who themselves choose the President of the club.

The club based in Barcelona (Spain) plays its games in the Catalan capital at the Camp Nou stadium. Founded in 1899 by footballers from England, Switzerland and Spain, Barça, as fans call their team, quickly became a symbol of Catalan culture.
Success on the pitch has made the club the second richest club in the world with $613 million in annual revenue and huge ticket sales. As you probably already understood, the club is the most successful in Spain. The team has won 83 Champion titles throughout its history and is currently valued at $2.6 billion.
Success followed the Catalan team throughout Europe; Barca have won 12 UEFA Cups.
It is also no secret that the main rival of the club is Real Madrid FC.
