Cons
This mid-range hotel has an excellent location on Las Ramblas, near the harbor, Plaza Catalunya, and the Gothic Quarter. It is also less than 350 yards from a metro station. The 98 clean, contemporary rooms are usually affordable for the neighborhood; some have balconies overlooking either Las Ramblas specifically or the El Raval neighborhood in general. Most rooms stay relatively quiet (considering the bustling location), though there have been a few noise complaints and some beds are harder than travelers may like. There’s a restaurant serving buffet breakfast (an extra cost for most room reservations) and vending machines for snacks. Perks include free W-Fi and bike rentals. A rooftop terrace offers the opportunity for sunning, but there’s no pool. If that’s a must, check out another three-pearl hotel nearby: Suites Avenue.

Scene
Public spaces are functional, but not particularly inspired
When guests step in the front door, they will find a sleek, relatively small check-in desk made of blonde wood that gives the space a modern, but somewhat impersonal, feel. Just past the desk is a display stand filled with pamphlets about tours of Barcelona. From there, guests can step into a larger lobby space, which is functional and contemporary. Tables, chairs, stools, and sofas in shades of purple, red, white, and black are arranged in clusters on grey-and-white color-block carpeting. A small area off to one side offers a couple of computers and printers for guest use that are situated on a high, narrow table with stools for seating.
While suitable for a business or leisure traveler, the hotel is primarily geared toward those on vacation. As such, guests will mostly see couples and families in the hotel’s public spaces.

Location
Prime location on Las Ramblas and within walking distance of many top tourist attractions
The hotel is housed in three buildings (two of which date to the 20th century and one of which dates to the 19th century), which are located on the famous La Ramblas in the city’s El Raval neighborhood. This section of the city is a lively, multicultural spot chock-full of shops and restaurants. The Drassanes Metro Station is less than 350 yards from the hotel, which makes getting around Barcelona a cinch. The hotel is about a 15-minute walk from Port Vell and Plaza de Catalunya. The Gothic Quarter is even closer, as it can be reached in a little less than 10 minutes by foot.

Rooms
Clean and quiet, with simple decor; nearly half have balconies
All rooms come equipped with safes, satellite TV, adjustable air-conditioning, free Wi-fi, and desks. Rooms are clean and somewhat nicer than one would expect from a three-pearl hotel. They feature simple, attractive decor with a modern look: Expect blonde wood, neutral colors, and crisp white linens. Most rooms are fairly quiet, though some guests have complained about noise in rooms facing Las Ramblas. Also, some rooms are a bit on the small side.
A total of 36 rooms offer balconies or terraces. Book a Superior Room with a balcony if you want views of Las Ramblas specifically, as the Junior Suites have outdoor terraces that look out on the El Raval district in general.

Features
A lovely sundeck and a restaurant that serves an extensive breakfast buffet (at an extra cost for most), but little else in the way of amenities
Arc La Rambla doesn’t have much in the way of extras. While there’s a pretty sundeck with chic lounge chairs, there’s no pool. The hotel offers a continental breakfast, but it’s only free for some. Its enviable location means guests don’t need a car, but those traveling with vehicles may be frustrated that there is no parking. Bike rentals can be arranged in the lobby. The main perk the Arc La Rambla does offer is free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, and there are also two computers with Internet access and printers in the lobby. Lockers are available to rent for guests who need to store their stuff prior to check-in or before checkout.

The location was brilliant for us – close to bars and restaurants. There was variety of cafés and restaurants nearby to try. The room was bright and soundproof with the view, we had a good rest. They had an easy check-in.
Even though the staff we met were very rude, really enjoyed the hotel.

About the hotel Arc La Rambla
The Arc La Rambla is conveniently located on Barcelona’s most famous street, the picturesque Las Ramblas. Drassanes metro station and Center d’Art bus stop are nearby. Less than three hundred meters separate the hotel from the world-famous Liceu Opera House, where in recent years not only classical performances have been staged, but also avant-garde performances, as well as concerts for children. A little further, ten minutes walk from the theater, is Plaza Catalunya, which is always noisy and crowded. Nine streets start here, and many city and tourist buses stop. A small square in the center is decorated with sculptures and two fountains.
An unforgettable pastime will be a walk along the Rambla itself. The Canaletes drinking fountain is very popular with tourists, because according to legend, those who try the water from it will definitely return to hospitable Barcelona. Dancers and musicians perform on the street, artists paint pictures and offer their works, people-statues surprise tourists, unexpectedly “coming to life”. Not far from the port rises an eighty-meter column with a monument to Columbus – a monument that has become a symbol of the city. At a height of sixty meters, there is an observation deck, which can be reached by elevator.
After long excursions, Arc La Rambla offers spacious, soundproofed rooms decorated in soothing colours. The living rooms are dominated by white and pale gray tones, against which modern light wood furniture looks great.
Guests wishing to relax in silence are invited to the rooftop sun terrace. The cozy lobby features comfortable sofas and free Wi-Fi internet access.
The breakfast room serves a daily buffet of international and Catalan dishes such as potato tortilla, meat and cheese starters, a variety of pastries, fresh fruit, drinks and hot chocolate
