Roots market
The inspiration for Roots Market stems from listening to the needs of a true pioneer in the hospitality industry, Guldsmeden Hotels, who have run a sustainable operation since 1999 – long before sustainability became mainstream.
Equal parts passion, curiosity and good old-fashioned hard work are what drive us – and sometimes leads us down unexpected paths.
We love learning new things and discovering new possibilities, and we know that true sustainability is an ever-evolving pursuit. The job is never done, and hallelujah for that!

Axel Hotel Barcelona is a sleek boutique hotel located in Barcelona’s LGBT-friendly Eixample neighborhood that attracts a primarily gay clientele. The 101 rooms and four suites are contemporary and handsome, with flat-screen TVs, bathrobes, and minibars. While most units overlook the city, a few have interior views. On-site amenities include a well-equipped fitness center, a spa with a steam and spa facilities, a narrow rooftop pool area with a whirlpool and bar, and a restaurant — Nikkei 103 — serving Japanese-Peruvian fare. Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel, though there have been some complaints of spotty connections. Stylish Axel-brand boutique hotel attracting a primarily gay clientele
Part of the LGBT-focused Axel brand, this boutique property is aimed at gay vacationers wanting easy access to the dining and nightlife in the surrounding Eixample neighborhood, the main gay area of Barcelona. From the outside, the hotel blends well into the late-19th-century neighborhood and is housed in a tall, beige building with a chamfered corner. Inside, the vibe is chic and modern, thanks to white-marble floors and black high-backed vinyl chairs in the lobby, and a sophisticated patio area with sleek, charcoal-hued plush stools and a matching sofa. Other common areas include a rooftop pool deck with plenty of lounge chairs and tables, plus a sleek restaurant with retro-futuristic soft-cornered chairs and recessed lighting. The atmosphere here is fun and friendly, appealing to solo travelers, couples, and groups of friends.

Sleek, contemporary rooms — some with city views, others with interior-facing windows
The Axel offers three room types: standard Axel City Rooms with two twins or a king, larger Axel Premium Rooms, which add iPod docks, and Axel Suites, bigger rooms still with spacious private terraces and wireless bluetooth speakers. Decor is fresh and modern across the board, with light-wood floors complemented by solid dark-brown or paisley prints on chairs and framing mirrors. Standard features include minibars, wall-mounted flat-screen TVs, safes, bathrobes, and free Wi-Fi. Note that there have been complaints of hard mattresses. Bathrooms have small walk-in rainfall showers (plus deep tubs in Suites) and a good selection of toiletries are provided. The location is excellent, very comfortable, the room itself is small, but has everything you need. Wi-fi is fast, the plumbing is in good condition, there are dishes for cooking, the bed is comfortable, what else do you need))

Standard size room with a fully functional kitchen (electric stove, microwave, refrigerator, sink). Toilet room with shower and washing machine. From the situation there is also a TV, hair dryer, iron, ironing board, dryer. The floor is carpeted. Disposable shower slippers were a nice bonus. Polite and pleasant staff, responding to small requests such as unscheduled cleaning. Window to a quiet park. Transport within walking distance (tram), metro at a reasonable distance. Center of Moscow with developed services.
Didn’t like · There was not enough bedside table to put glasses/phone/tablet before going to bed. No cover on the bed. A salad bowl could be added to the set of dishes. The lack of a passage between the window and the bed (the cleanliness of the window sill suffers because of this).

· Apart hotel in the center of Moscow, on Chistye Prudy. The photos correspond to the description, everything is clean, comfortable, there is a stove, dishes, a microwave – it is convenient to cook at home. The Dixie store is very close. If something is missing – you can ask the guys at the reception. The guys are very friendly and always ready to help! We arrived earlier, we were immediately settled, they also allowed us to leave our suitcases until the evening at check-out.
Didn’t like it · Keep in mind that all apartments are on the ground floor, even slightly below street level, ie. opening the windows in the morning will not work – you have to turn on the light all the time. There were no glasses, I had to drink wine from mugs :-). Well, as a wish for the apartments – leave a couple of tea bags, some sugar and salt, so as not to immediately run to the store.

Like · Excellent location in the city center, stylish room with all amenities – kitchen, fridge, stove, crockery and kettle. The extractor hood works great in the bathroom and the wet floor dries instantly after taking a shower. There is a desk for working with a laptop. Access to the patio, very quiet and comfortable. But we were on a weekday, so on weekends I can not guarantee peace and quiet. Yandex food orders were taken by leaning out of the window, since the room is half on the basement floor, it’s very funny and convenient 🙂 the windows, by the way, are huge, there are no problems with opening, there are thick curtains that do not let in light. TV and smart TV work. A very polite guy sits at the reception, stays there until late at night, so you can safely ask for help. We were very kindly printed out the documents necessary for the onward flight.
Only stayed for one night, no complaints

All in all it was perfect. I think I received far more attention for what I paid for. Just reserved this hostel for the FIFA World Cup and everything went really good. I heard of so many people complaining about hostels on these dates but not with this one. Excellent Location, Nice Price, Responsible Workers. There’s always one person who speaks English and is able to help you in whatever you want. Since they manage to give such an incredible service during busy dates, they’re capable of doing even better on the rest of the year. If I ever get back to Moscow again, I’ll stay here.
If you’re really new into the city it’s a bit tricky to find the Hostel. Just have to look at the end of the street actually. Google maps also helps a lot.

Everything! The Hostel is great. The location is amazing you can walk to the red square in about 20 minutes. The facility is brand new so it is spotless! The best thing about it is the hospitality of the owner Nick! He goes above and beyond for every single guest. We will be back for sure! When in Moscow and you would like to get the best quality, you should stay at Axel Hostel ?

Good value for money, clean and comfortable
Instead of mechanical locks, electronic ones, in the showers there is some kind of place for collecting small debris, breakfast should be considered somehow differently, although for a hostel it’s quite
