Located 250 m from Barcelona’s Diagonal Metro Station, Granados 83 offers a small gym and roof terrace with a small pool and cocktail bar. Rooms feature Zen-style design and LCD TV.

This design hotel has an impressive glass and stone façade and it combines neoclassical details with industrial and natural components which has become representative of the entire city and which gives it the Specialty Monument status. It also features beautiful Art Deco interiors.

Decorated with wood, leather and glass, the Granados 83’s stylish air-conditioned rooms include a mini-bar, bathrobe and slippers.

The elegant restaurant serves creative Mediterranean cuisine and room service is available. There are many popular tapas bars within a 5-minute walk, on Rambla de Catalunya.

Both the public spaces and rooms feature earth tones and gorgeous Hindu and Buddhist artworks. Ranging from tiny single rooms to duplex and family rooms, they all feature flat-screen TVs and modern bathrooms; however, some are dark and experience noise. Bathrooms with plush robes and ample amenities are a luxe touch, but the clear door separating it from the bedroom could cause a privacy issue for some. The 8 Terrace Bar is a popular spot for a cocktail and the adjacent pool is really only large enough for dipping toes. Although there’s free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, breakfast and parking will cost you.

Gorgeous earth-tone flooring, high-backed black leather chairs, and an exposed red brick wall create a cozy atmosphere. A highlight of the property are the numerous works of Hindu and Buddhist art scattered in the lobby and guest rooms. Although the property is kid-friendly thanks to the family-oriented rooms and a (tiny) pool, it’s more popular with couples who want to be near many tourist sights but removed from the heavily trafficked Las Ramblas area. Business travelers can make use of the business center, function room, and free Wi-Fi throughout the property. An outdoor terrace has ample seating and a water feature, but with high walls, views are nil; the 8 Terrace Bar has prettier vistas.

Family Deluxe Rooms have the most space, spread out over two levels; these rooms have semi-private terraces and share a small, narrow dipping pool.   • The hotel is part of the Derby Hotels group of hotels. The hotel opened at the end of 2005. The spacious rooms are reminiscent of New York’s Soho lofts, and the building’s metal structure contrasts sharply with the glass and stone façade. The interiors are decorated in the tradition of Zen art, embodied in the subtle elegance of minimalism. The hotel is located on the only pedestrian street in the Eixample district, among the business districts of the city, a stone’s throw from the central squares and boulevards. The late 19th century building was completely renovated and turned into a hotel in 2005.
