About: Spotify Camp Nou
The Spotify Camp Nou (‘New Field’ in Catalan) is a football stadium in Barcelona and the home ground of FC Barcelona. The second-largest football stadium in the world, it has a capacity for nearly 100,000 fans. To see a game there is to experience football at its purest, while an excursion to the museum is an experience in itself. Immersive and impressive, the museum features giant touch screens, sound installations (including match-day sounds), historical stats, and a trophy cabinet worthy of King Midas!

Did you know: (four interesting facts!)
- Did you know that it’s the largest stadium in Europe? The Camp Nou has a capacity of just over 99,000 spectators and the current expansion plan, to be completed in 2021, will increase that to 105,000.
- The first player to score a goal at the Camp Nou was Eulogio Martinez, a popular Paraguayan striker for Barcelona during the 50’s and 60’s.
- The stadium was built to accommodate the massive crowds attracted by the popularity of Laszlo Kubala, Barcelona’s first true star player. The old stadium of Les Corts was too small to fit all the fans that wanted to see the Hungarian play.
- Barcelona won its one-thousandth game in the Camp Nou in November of 2014, a 5-1 victory over Sevilla including a hat trick by Leo Messi

The situation with Eintracht in the Europa League prompted the Club to introduce rules that have been asking for a long time
Georgy Volkov
Source: FC Barcelona
Elena Fort, Institutional Vice President and Spokesperson for Barcelona, announced a number of changes that will take place in terms of how fans purchase tickets to visit the Camp Nou. After the scandal caused by the invasion of the Eintracht fans into the home stadium in the Europa League match, the Blaugrana created a commission that proposed a number of measures regarding tickets and season tickets. They were approved at yesterday’s board of directors, June 21, 2022.
Briefly describe the main points:
– All tickets will be named and digital to avoid fraud.
– Due to the lifting of the coronavirus restrictions on stadium attendance, Barcelona will return to the standard rules for issuing season tickets from July 14th.
– A new census of Sosios will be carried out, which will start in September. The last time it was held was 10 years ago!
– The “Free Seat” rule comes into effect permanently again. The season ticket holder may allow the Club to sell a ticket to his seat if he does not plan to attend the game. For this he can get up to 95% of the original ticket price. Payment is guaranteed only if the season ticket holder informs the Club about it no later than 10 days before the start of the match, otherwise, he will receive a refund only if the ticket is actually sold to another person.
Valentí Enrich
– For season ticket holders who, for one reason or another, did not attend 10 games per season (6 in the case of Palau), and did not use the “Free Seat” right, the Club automatically cancels the reservation for their seats , and tickets go on general sale. This is not explicitly stated, but it appears that no monetary compensation will be paid for this. And this is logical.
– If the season ticket holder has never come to the stadium during the whole season, then he will not be able to buy a season ticket for the next year.
– Socios who have season tickets and attend more than 85% of the games will receive certain privileges, including discounts on the cost of tickets for accompanying persons and food at the Camp Nou, as well as the opportunity to participate in ticket raffles, T-shirts, etc. In addition, additional benefits have been introduced for socios, such as pre-sale of tickets for 48 or even 72 hours, instead of the standard 24 hours, including at fixed prices.
– Digital subscriptions have been introduced, which will be available through the corresponding application on the phone. They can be transferred to relatives and friends, but not to third parties. Such subscriptions are planned to be issued at will and on a test basis. However, if they perform well, then next year such subscriptions can become available on a full basis.
FC Barcelona
– Standard season tickets will still be sent out by regular mail, but instead of the classic QR code, they are now protected by a special magnetic component that provides new security benefits and is already used for season tickets at Palau .
Elena Fort also thanked all the socios for their proposals (there were as many as 604 of them) on reforming the Charter of the Club, which is going to be carried out at the next General Assembly. Most of all, Barcelona members are concerned about season tickets, Camp Nou occupancy, representation of the Socios at Club meetings, transparency of the main financial transactions at the Blaugrana, as well as the duration of the mandate of the Board of Directors and the image of the Club as a whole.

Eintracht fans took over the Camp Nou: bought 30,000 tickets and booed Barça – Did you see that? – Blogs
Have you seen this?
Blog
Beautiful.
Eintracht had a brilliant match with Barcelona and took away the victory from Catalonia (and reaching the semi-finals). Fans of the Frankfurt club performed no less brightly. 20-30 thousand people came to Catalonia – despite the game in the middle of the week!
Before the match they marched impressively through Barcelona and sang songs.
In front of the Camp Nou, several streets even had to be blocked so that they could pass unhindered to the stadium.
It was even more interesting at the stadium – there suddenly turned out to be about 25-30 thousand Eintracht fans. Moreover, they appeared not only in the guest sector, but appeared throughout the stadium. “I was surprised that there were so many Eintracht fans in our stadium,” said an upset Araujo after the match. “The club will certainly look into how it happened.”
At some point, the superiority of the guests’ fans became too obvious – they simply dominated. For example, they booed the hosts at the warm-up and when entering the field of their own stadium.
Therefore, two sectors of active Barça fans did not reach the second half.
True, by the 55th minute they returned, although initially they wanted to leave the podium altogether – in protest against the fact that tickets were sold to Eintracht fans, for whom the game turned out to be almost home. Even Joan Laporta was angry: “What happened in the stands is a shame that cannot be repeated, we must study the information in order to take action, but this is unfortunate. We will have to be stricter and not allow certain things. I am ashamed as a Barcelona fan.
“I was waiting for 70 or 80 thousand kules at the stadium, but it wasn’t like that…” Xavi reasoned disappointedly. “The club is checking what happened. ”
In the meantime, we’ll try to figure it out.
How did Eintracht fans buy tickets?
Barcelona have allocated a guest quota of 5,000 tickets. But the Germans promised to go to an important match for the team with a large landing force.
And here a whole series of circumstances comes into play. Firstly, many seats in the stands are occupied by season ticket holders, who can refuse to attend the match. They can even put their ticket for a particular game up for sale – this is allowed by the club’s charter.
Easter weekend is starting in Catalonia – four non-working days. Often this time is used to get out into nature. It seems that many of the season ticket holders did just that, and the seats for the non-status Europa League were sold via the Internet. So guests from Frankfurt got access to tickets.
At some point in Barcelona realized the scale of the disaster and tried to stop it. In particular, they limited the purchase of tickets only for Spanish cards. But it didn’t help much. Journalist Fernando Polo, citing sources inside the club, said: the Germans received tickets through unofficial tour operators, resale from the hands and on the Internet – and this happened already in Spain.
Although there are no formal violations in this, Barça can still be punished. According to Cadena SER, UEFA is likely to punish Barcelona by considering the mass appearance of away fans in regular sectors as a violation of security protocols. This is a terrible failure in terms of security. Perhaps this will have consequences for Barça in the form of financial sanctions.
Eintracht fans have already rocked the LE – three years ago. Then they also reached the semi-finals
Frankfurt fans are in principle one of the brightest not only in Germany but also in Europe. Many people remember them in 2019, when Eintracht with Jovic broke through to the semi-finals. Fans made colorful performances at home matches, merrily drove away and lived in a fairy tale right up to the semi-finals.
Even the next season, when Eintracht was closed away from the away sectors, they were still with the team: for example, 5,000 people came to visit Arsenal and just hung out in bars and pubs. But they supported the team at the hotel.
Even before, Eintracht fans have given out bright performances – for example, a protest against matches on Mondays in the Bundesliga (and, by the way, the protest was successful – the league changed its mind about playing on a weekday).
