I wasn’t pressed for time, but the bus was really late, although not necessarily the fault of the bus, could have been traffic problems.

Great bus very comfortable only bad point was at Barcelona bus station where we were confronted by a scruffy man who pushed his way into the lift and managed to get into Sheryls handbag and take the wallet out, he was about 5ft around 40 with a beard and made out he was helping us with the suitcase

The driver was indifferent to passengers. We were not informed by the driver about the length of stop in the middle of the route but from another passenger. The cautiousness on the road was limited and the driving didn’t feel safe.

Very happy with bus line check in easy. Bus loading easy. Driver spoke Spanish which I did not understand. So not sure what his message was. We arrived safely in Barcelona after a very pleasant drive. Easy waiting area for a taxi

Fantastic service! I loved that seats were pre assigned, the TVs with movies and tv shows were genius! This was my first time on ALSA and I’ve got a few more trips booked with ALSA over the next month. I’ve ridden with other brands like OuiBus and Flixbus and ALSA blew them out of the water. I will always make ALSA my first choice.

Great experience, super easy. The bus was about 39 minutes late for departure, but we expected it (it’s Spain). My seat was broken and wouldn’t recline, unfortunate for a nighttime ride, but overall we had no issues.

During waiting time prior to embarkation, may be it would be good to have someone, apart form the driver, to attend to the passengers. Otherwise, everything was fine. The trip was smooth, the bus comfortable and the times of departure and arrival were respected.

How to get from Valencia to Barcelona by bus
Traveling by bus from Valencia to Barcelona is a safe, relatively comfortable and least expensive option. Popular routes are served by a large number of flights, often with round-the-clock departures at intervals of half an hour to an hour. Less popular destinations sometimes have to settle for a single flight a day. The most common types of buses are non-air-conditioned, air-conditioned and premium class.
We recommend booking your bus ticket at least a few days before your trip. Check out the list of bus companies that serve the Valencia-Barcelona route. If the trip falls on weekends or holidays, we advise you to buy tickets well in advance, because this is a hot time for both those traveling on vacation and among employees who return to their native land to spend time with their families.
How far is it from Valencia to Barcelona?
When traveling by bus, the distance from Valencia to Barcelona depends on the route taken. Most bus companies prefer toll roads or highways. Often this is not the shortest path, but the fastest and traffic-free/traffic-free.
To get by bus to some island destinations that are not connected to the mainland by bridges, buses call on large car ferries. Passengers are usually asked to get off the bus; luggage can be left on site. The distance from port to port is added to the total path length.
How long does it take to travel from Valencia to Barcelona by bus?
Estimated travel time from Valencia to Barcelona by bus is 4 hours. Do not forget that it is always longer to travel by bus than by your own car or taxi. Departure time also greatly affects the congestion of the route between Valencia and Barcelona. As a rule, the greatest traffic is observed in the morning hours until the evening on weekdays. This is a busier time than weekends.
Another important factor that affects travel time is the type of bus. Premium and VIP buses are usually faster because they travel along the highway and often do not stop at intermediate bus stations along the way. However, all buses typically make 10 to 30 minute stops every few hours to allow passengers to stretch their legs, use the restroom or eat while the driver and bus staff are resting.
Some premium buses have a toilet and a co-driver. But this does not change things: there will still be stops along the way – for lunch or for gas stations.
How much are the bus tickets from Valencia to Barcelona?
The price of bus tickets from Valencia to Barcelona varies depending on the bus class. The cheapest tickets are always for regular buses without air conditioning. Higher-class buses, respectively, are more expensive, but they offer additional amenities: somewhere there are chargers for phones, somewhere – personal monitors with a choice of programs, somewhere – toilets.
